Skateboard company founded by Jason Lee and Chris Pastras in 1992. Their style was influenced by street art, 50s and 60s design and jazz album cover artwork. Two films – A Visual Sound (’94) and Tincan Folklore (’96) – were outstanding masterpieces in a time of low-budget skate flicks. From 1996 on, Jason concentrated on his Hollywood carreer (Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Almost Famous), and Stereo came to an end in 2000. In 2003, Jason and Chris relaunched the company and made their third skateboard film Way Out East in 2004. They both continue their carreers as TV star (Jason in My Name Is Earl) and artist (Chris displays his work at world-famous galleries all across the globe).
Pros beside Jason Lee and Chris Pastras are: Clint Peterson, Daniel Shimizu, Danny Renaud, Olly Todd, Danny Supa and Chris Miller.
