The first skate shoe ever. Vans was founded in 1966 by Paul Van Doren. Bought by the VF Corporation (also owning Eastpak, JanSport, Wrangler, Lee and more) in 2004 for 396 million dollars.
Besides skateboarding, vans also produces gear for snowboarding, surfing, bmx and motocross, and sponsors bands and music events.
